Another delightful book from JA>
The story begins with the birth of the twins in late 50's and goes to narrate as to how they get separated immediately after birth, grow up in different families and how after 4 decades of eventful life, their paths crossing several times, both end up as candidates for the same Governorship, and eventually find out that they are brothers and the story ending with the election results ending up in a tie and is decided by toss of a coin.
Its delightful reading for the most part but their are certain instances when the story is mind wrecking, such as the one in which the republican brother's son commits suicide.
A very pleasant book to read.

Sahasranaman M S I've read only two of his books, but still the coin toss sounds like typical Jeffrey Archer :) I'm going to read his Paths of Glory next, so should not get shocked by these things :)

Suby The toss of coin provision is very much there in US constitution, I believe.
In my opinion JF's best are -'A Matter of Honor' and 'Honor among thieves'.
Paths of Glory is not available to me.
