This is the story of four women, sisters from two generations who spend a month at a remote and rustic house on the Island of Tuckernuck off the coast of Nantucket in Massachusetts. Each of them has a story of saddness and personal guilt. This time together gives them all a chance to heal and help each other. I enjoyed this story but I read shortly after reading another Hilderbrand nove set in Nantucket (where the novelist lives in real life) and the similarities of the two books were a disappointment to me. Everyone in the story seems to have too much disposable income howver, the author, like a typical yankee, holds distain for the wealthy. I guess it is all relative! Money is find as long as you don't flaunt it! However, I really think this book is worth reading!
