really liked it
bookshelves: children-or-young-adult, 2008

My Gemma Doyle addiction continued with Rebel Angels. I thought the first book in the series was a little racy; this book blew it out of the water. However, mature readers should be able to handle it.

I grew to like Felicity more in this book. There is a revelation that shocked me, but I thought it really gave her character the depth I needed to have any sort of fondness for her. Gemma continued to amuse me with her witty observances of Victorian England. And I found myself more interested in the magic. In the first book I was a little bored with it-- regular 1895 held my attention more. Oh, and Kartik. I like 'im.
