An absolutely phenomenal comic anthology, sort of the indie equivalent of the beautiful FLIGHT volumes, Popgun runs the gamut from the tale of children in an Archaeological Society, to a powerpuff girls-esq super heroine, to even a Monty Python styled war of words between two luchadors.

From page to page, panel to panel, this book made me smile. And hey, check out that sweet Allred cover!

The only downside? As with ALL comic anthologies, the stories are kind of varying on their level of enjoyment or execution. It's definitely more miss than hit, but this also means the book isn't a perfect score. High recommendation, though. Can't wait for volume two!
