Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves
by Matthew Reilly
by Matthew Reilly
Let me start off my saying I'm a massive Reilly fan and have read everything he has written so far, so I was excited when I heard the news that a new Scarecrow novel was coming out. This book had a real different feel to the others. It started so slowly for a Reilly novel while the whole premise was explained. How was it? It was alright. It was no where near as awesome as 'Ice Station' and 'Scarecrow' but it by no means sucked. My favourite part of the novel was anything with the robot 'Bertie' who is clearly one of the best A.I robot characters ever thought of! Some of the action seemed pretty tame compared to the other Scarecrow novels, but what is missing in action, Reilly makes up for with violence and gruesome scenes.
Overall, it was pretty good. Well worth a read if you are a die-hard fan and hopefully not the end of the awesome Scarecrow series.
