it was amazing

The End of Eternity was written by Isaac Asimov, so, of course, I was expecting it to be good. It was better than that - I loved it!

I don't know why, but my only exposure to Asimov, for decades, was his excellent Foundation series. Recently, I went back and read some of his early novels, including The End of Eternity, his fourth. I love how the earlier books seem to lay the foundation (sorry, pun intended) for his stories of the Galactic Empire, and I have a particular fondness for time-travel, which is a key component of the End of Eternity. The characters are complex and intelligent, as is the plot, and the conclusion was brilliant. I absolutely love it when an author takes a story in a direction I didn't really consider. Well done, Doctor!
