This book featured an interesting blend of genres (mystery, romance, paranormal, and humor) that will appeal to teens who like ghost stories with feisty heroines taking the lead. The main character, Amy Goodnight, comes from a family of witches, psychics, and general paranormal types and she struggles with trying to keep all of them from running into trouble when dealing with the "real world." Although she crosses the line between feisty and just plain mean a bit too often, it didn't prevent me from enjoying the story overall. Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans will like this, in addition to fans of Clement-Moore's Maggie Quinn: Girl vs. Evil series.
