independence hall starts out in a wedding from the view of a boy named q. it is his moms wedding, and the wedding is going to be a music video for q's mom and step dad who are in a band by the name of match. once the wedding is over q and his new step sister Angela and their parents start a country wide tour. not long after starting the tour the bus breaks down and the kids get caught up in a CIA, secret agent mission revolved around terrorism.

would i recommend it? yes, it is a pretty decent book and the story is told well without straying off into other topics.

Text to Text: much like many other books(cant actually name any off the top of my mind)a young boy is taken away from his simple life style and friends because his mother or father gets remarried.

Text to Self: my mom is probably going to get married soon, but its ok because i like her boyfriend, unlike q.

Text to World: everyday kids parents get divorced or remarried and everybody deals with it in their own way.
