I was moderately entertained by this book. The plot was good, and it was humorous. Very much a comedy of errors. I didn't really appreciate the humor as much as others would. That's my problem.

We've got two people named Boot, both writers, very different people and there is great confusion over names. Both are writers, one writes a column about plants and lives with his family on an old estate in the country and hates to stir. The other is an ambitious novelist. The story is very much about the first Boot, who in a case of mistaken identity, is sent to cover a civil war in Africa.

This is a short book, a very easy read, and I might have appreciated it more if I had not dawdled so long over it.
