3.5*

While a few thing didn't work for me, like Posey's choice of "swear" words (Beiber and Elvis Presley) and how often we get to read Posey's mental and physical reaction to Liam for the first half of the book (we get it, she lusts for Liam), there were several things I really liked about the book. For one, it's the first book Higgins has published that's written in 3rd person. I much prefer 3rd person POV. Her other books are all first person POV, and several are written in first person present.

Liam wasn't the perfect hero, but I understood him, having dealt with family members with OCD and panic attacks. I also appreciated that Higgins' didn't cope out and make this a typical second-chance romance. (view spoiler)[ Liam wasn't secretly in love with Posey as a teenager. He truly loved Emma and thought of Posey as a nice kid. Good call by the author not to have some unbelievable revelation about how Liam was privately attracted to her back then. (hide spoiler)]

Overall a book worth the time.
