I really enjoyed this book, which was the first "steam punk" book that I've read. It definitely has a YA feel to it and is a tad reminiscent of Hunger Games. Very well written, it appealed to the history geek in me with the World War I setting. Westerfeld has a very creative premise, writes characters really well, and keeps the plot moving along. The illustrations are a nice touch, though I don't think they're necessary. I highly recommend this book to fans of fantasy-ish YA.
