Read from April 05 to 15, 2012

I was most disappointed with this book
Hated all characters and there was really no story
In the end got so fed up just scanned last 50 pages
I liked Charlotte Grey and was expecting so much more.I only just managed to finish as devoted so much time getting to that point and only just deserved the one star.

having looked at some of the other reviews it seems a bit of a Marmite book love it or hate it.
On reading some of the high star reviews I think I may just have not got the reasoning behind the book

Ian I also find SF a bit hit and miss Bob. Other than Birdsong my fave is Engleby.

Sam I think your calling it a 'Marmite' book totally sums it up. I am about 120 pages in & just don't get it. The only plot I am interested in is to see what happens with the bombing. Not sure if you are familiar with 'CityRead' but this book is the CityRead 2013 book which is the only reason I am reading it as we are reading it as I manage a library and it is quite a big promotion so I picked it for my reading group.
