I actually bought this book because it had a review by my then favorite author, Anne Rice.
What a... well, I don't want to use the word disappointment, because I love books, even if I only read them once, my books are my babies, but this book nearly killed me. Too much description, very slow paced, doesn't get to the point when it should and the only thing that kept me going through was it's erotic enticements and the lives of each character, which are incredibly interesting, but the author just doesn't do it enough justice, in my opinion at least.
