Wendi's review
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (Enriched Classics Series)
by Mark Twain
My dad has this book. I tried to read it when I was a teenager and I just couldn't get into it. I remember wondering how it could possibly have been written by the same author as "Tom Sawyer".
I couldn't get through Tom Sawyer either. It's all the diction that he wants to spell out. I just, gah, I just can't stand it.

I just couldn't finish it. I hated the way the modern man thinks everyone in Arthur's era was innocent and "special" and how he needed to modernize everything. It was too much. He was extremely arrogant.
Not to mention that the stories that people tell...omg...it just went on too long. Even the lead character says that people told horrible stories and that they didn't know how to just get to the point.
