I enjoyed the recipes in this book. I liked Sophie and Pete. Sophie who's inquisitive and sharp. Pete who's the strong, silent, yet supportive type. Sophie seemed like the type of person who was helpful to a fault. Which means she should keep to herself, but that wouldn't have made a good story. I liked the story, but had issues with it as well. One of the things I enjoy about mysteries is figuring out who did it, that fun is sort of squashed when the clues don't make sense. Yet I found I had to keep reading just so I could figure out what was going on and how the clues worked together. I was utterly surprised by the ending, which made it worth while.
