The third book in the Sally Lockhart series, and still exquisitely entertaining, although perhaps not quite as gripping as the previous despite having a much more adrenalin-pumped narrative. In a couple of places I found the pacing to be a little off where it required a faster transition to keep the plot from getting old. All in all however, I was extremely impressed with yet another fantastic novel from Pullman.
