Maybe it was me. Maybe it was my mood. Maybe I was thinking of another book while reading this one. Whatever it was, this just didn't do it for me. When I read erotica, I want to be caught up in the moment thinking, 'Holy shit that's hot!' I don't want to be thinking, 'What an idiot.' or 'what about (fill in the blank)' or even, 'I don't think that is physically possible.' Unfortunately in this offering from Opal Carew there were very few 'that's hot' moments and far too many of the last three thoughts.

Devlin loves Aimee. He has for a while. Aimee has been on a sexual hiatus following her divorce. When she announces that she's ready to go back on the market, Devlin's first thought is, 'I think the best way to get her ready for a real relationship with me is to have her screw a bunch of other guys.' I really think the guy needs to have his logic looked at.

Unfortunately the rest of the book follows this logic.

A light fun read, but there really is never any connection to be found.

SubterraneanCatalyst LOL, me and my BFF are both 36, and she's a single mom and trying to date. She ends up going on dates with divorced men occasionally, naturally in our age group, and apparently that IS the recommended way to 'get over your divorce' according to a lot of men LOL.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) I'm not saying it's a "you need to sow some wild oats before you are ready to love again" scenario. It is more of a "I love you and I'm obsessing over you. I think you love me too. But I think the only way we are going to have a chance is if you get strung up in a bondage harness and repeatedly double penetrated by two well hung strangers." situation. I understand the first. The second leaves me scratching my head.

Oh..recovery voyeurism porn, I see lolol.

LaFleurBleue In fact Devlin is "in love" with Sandra, Aimee being the BFF. Anyway he also ends up having sex with the BFF.
This slight error, quite understandable in the context of the book, does not make your review less to the point;) On the contrary...
