it was amazing
bookshelves: historical-fiction, informational, trade-books

Most teachers teach the same thing about Thanksgiving year after year, and children hear the same stories over and over. There's more to the Thanksgiving that we are familiar with than just Pilgrims and Native Americans. This book tells about Sarah Hale's battle 36 year battle to get Thanksgiving to be a national holiday. It is a great 'new' lesson for children to learn about the holiday.
