it was amazing

Outstanding. A historical novel of the great flood of 1927, this book succeeds where others fail because it captures not just the facts, but also develops the detail of all the key players involved, and provides rich context on the human condition around the events. It's not just the "what", but the who, how and "so what" factor that is addressed. One of my favorite books, and one which gives readers a deep view into a piece of history and a part of America that I daresay 99% have never experienced nor will ever appreciated.

Highly recommended reading.
