Ashley tells a horrific tale of living in the foster care system. I don't doubt her stories, and she tells them delicately enough that it doesn't seem too sensational. Still, her story lacks some kind of distance, probably because she's still so close to it - it is her life, of course - that might make it a smoother read. Educational, nonetheless.
