Okay, so this book is about a woman married to a man who literally makes a living by hating everything (and writing about it). Then one day he completely changes and is happy all the time, and she starts reminiscing about when he hated everything. At one point she lists everything he and his friend had ever criticized as being talentless and overrated (which goes on for 2 pages and includes everything from John Lennon to "all the Brontes" to Homer) and then the people who met his approval: Bob Dylan, Graham Greene, Quentin Tarantino, and Tony Hancock.
And this still amuses me. However, the ending is super depressing.
