An enormous divergence of opinion on this book - with rave reviews on the one hand and bewilderment at its acclaim on the other. I fully expected to enjoy it - the subject matter is certainly compelling enough. But it left me cold, unfortunately. The dialogue is stilted and unnatural, the book is far too long, and although it offers an insight into the Israeli point of view with regards to the conflict, that alone isn't enough to make this a worthwhile read.
