The first book in the series was "Watch me" the 2nd is "Catch Me"
In the 1st book, Jay Fletcher, FBI agent, becomes a hunter of serial killers - she hunts them down and kills them - in other words, she goes "rogue" :)
Her final serial killer was Billy Bones - she helped catch him and put him in jail. Then she goes into a Witness Protection Program to live a "normal " life. BUT... Billy Bones escapes - and sends a message to Jay - because she is the one who caught him. Billy believes himself to by the son of Charles Manson - in other words, Billy is a psycho and his character is intelligent and very very scary. Before he was caught, Billy was an anthropologist at the Museum. JAy and Billy are both computer experts

The entire book is about Jay tracking down Billy with the obscure clues that he leaves for her- I should say Jay and a reluctant Marshall named Dane. It is a cleverly written book The mystery isn't trying to figure out "who" - because we know "who' from the first page. It is more a psychological mystery of what the clues mean - how Jay interprets them, and the "game" is on. The book also gives insight into the mind and reasoning of the serial killer and there are not too many authors who do that.
