This was a pretty good historical fiction about the Borgia family. My only problem with it is that it wasn't as exciting as I was expecting it to be. Mario Puzo held the Borgia family on the same level as his mafia families, with this in mind I suppose I was expecting a little more relation to "The Godfather," however, the majority of this book consists primarily of the Borgia children and their incest, along with the emo drama that follows. Many of the war games and battles are described in only a few sentences. Overall, this was an okay book, it is well researched and adds some light and interpretations of the Borgias, It just didn't add up to my expectations.
