I was looking for another Devil Wears Prada or Bergdorf Blondes, just some easy "chick lit". I am surprised I even finished this book, but it took me a good 3 weeks, and I guess nothing better came a long. I am surprised that Candace Bushnell is a best selling author based on this writing. The ending was the VERY most cliche ending I have ever read - this wouldn't pass a highschool writing assignment with a last page like this. I don't think there was even one line that was funny, witty, or clever. In trying to give this book the benefit of the doubt, I don't know if it is because I am not 40, I am not going through a divorce or affair, I am not on the Posts 50 most powerful women list, but I could barely relate to anything, or any of the characters. I never saw them as people I wished I was or wanted to become. I hated the writing style of writing all the events after they had happened as a memory or something, and I hated how it skipped from one huge event to another ...more
