This book dragged a bit at times, but then the pace would pick up and we'd get some juicy nuggets of information about what's going on to keep me interested. We actually get to learn a lot of information about everything that got set in motion during the first three books. Some of it was onvious to me earlier, so it was a relief when Elspeth finally figures it out. Even though the pace was uneven, this book left me wanting to read more in the series, so I'm on to the next book.
