A woman is handcuffed to the same spot, immobilized and helpless, in the same room as her husband's corpse. Really, this premise make any horror or Literary writer salivate. Such potential. How do you wreck that potential? Make her naked. Have her be responsible for the death by accidentally kicking him in some magic sea-breath zone. Spend forever turning a magazine into an implausible straw. Give her a daddy complex. Really, it ruins itself.
