Road trip!! No, seriously, there's kind of a road trip in here and I've been really excited about road trips lately. And then of course...the characters staying in cabins and dorms gave me nostalgic thoughts of summer camps and blind, week-long crushes. It made this book fairly enjoyable, to say the least. Anyway, onto the more important stuff...

I really did like the plot for this book, since I was been wondering how Ms. Elkeles would pull off the sequel after the end of the first book. She didn't fail to impress, bringing us this very compelling second book. Caleb and Maggie both had to come to terms with quite a lot of their problems (especially Caleb) and had to learn to accept or overcome them.

However, I was disappointed--though not surprised--that there was quite a bit more sexual content than the first one. I guess I can be happy that none of it went that far, but there was a large quantity and a little more detailed. So, one star's taken off for that.

Despite my qualms, I really did like this book. This is some of the only realistic fiction that can pull me in and keep me there (hey, I did just read it in a couple of hours). I was very pleased at how all the loose ends were tied up at the end. The events of the book are rough, but it has such a good ending, to leave you with that feel-good feeling. I have to say, I really loved all of the supporting characters in this one (the kids with Re-START); they were quite the colorful individuals...

Dare I say it, I think I liked these two books even better than the Perfect Chemistry trio.
