Interesting page turner about an unliked high school boy who goes missing.
Christopher Creed emails a note to his principal that could be considered either a runaway or a suicide note. When suspicions fall on one of the town boonies, it takes the assistance (well-meaning but falling flat) of main character Torey to prove that Chris did run away and wasn't murdered.
The story is interesting and the characters (particularly Bo, the boonie) are good, but I didn't find it of significant literary merit like the Printz committee did (the book was given a Printz honor).
I am curious about the follow-up book to see if the author's writing style has changed and what happens to the characters...
