After having read all of Dan Brown's novels, Angels and Demons and The DaVinci Code in particular, The Lost Symbol seems a bit formulaic and predictable. That said, the story is compelling and just as filled with intriguing symbolism and mysteries as was The DaVinci Code. Set in Washington DC, the story delves deep into the hidden truths about the Masons and about the founding of our nation. Credit where due, the story certainly makes one consider our Founding Fathers and what they were up to in a new light.
