Floors lacks the magic of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the reader engagement found in The Puzzling World of Winston Breen and The Gollywhopper Games. The underlying conflict and suspense were rather over-the-top, and not entirely believable, even within the confines of the fantastic setting of the Whippet Hotel, but fans of any of those three books are likely to enjoy this one.
