This is my second book of Sophie Kinsella. My first book was can u keep a secret?
First there are many answered quetion

What happen to Arnold and co?
How did Carter Spink find out they wronged her? I mean whose is going to believe he-plant-memo-on-my-desk kind of story
What’s there in Nathaniel's letter which he wrote in the train?
I thought there was some mystery about Mr.and Mrs.Geiger and it’s not clearly mentioned about their past.
What happen to the Mr. Geiger contract on which Samantha purposefully spilled coffee? It’s not mentioned anywhere later.
And many more.
I like the way author started the book. The way she showed us about attorney hectic life and people around her is so realistic. I had nice laugh about Samantha’s struggle housekeeping. I like Nathaniel character and village background. And also I like the way Samantha goes back to company to prove her innocence.
Samantha character little bit confusing. She supposes to be independent, clever, never give-up-things, and hard worker. At end she completely depends on someone to investigate, I thought she was going to investigate and lost all her hope when she found Arnold office was empty, thats not like Samantha.
When she turned down partnership in Carter Spink I thought because of what they did to her not for housekeeping. I mean who want to clean loos for rest of the life. She worked so hard for 7years without any complaints that means she enjoyed what she was doing. Now she knows the others side of life. Now she can work by maintaining balance. All those years she worked hard to be a partner but now she doesn’t have to become anything, so she doesn’t have to work that much hard. She may feel what she was doing right now but later she will regret.
I have seen many movies in which the person leaves career for love. But I didn’t feel right when Samantha chose love. Still I wonder why I didn’t like, actually I was expecting the ending.
Overall, the book is ok. You can enjoy while reading.
