Phil IS reluctant, but even reluctance is better than the way he thinks his life is going in Tinsel-Town.

Although there is a familiar cast of (pretty) stereotypical "quirky" locals, Doran's tone does eventually become a bit more genuine as opposed to the "look, Ma, no hands!" that his screenwriter background impels him to use.

His wife is his saving grace; he should be kissing her feet since she's probably the only thing in his world that saved him from a breakdown.

Look for your own "rustico," and enjoy the Tuscan experience, one bicchiere de vino at a time.
