This book really surprised me. I was expecting it to be a quick, easy read and pretty fluffy. What I found was a book I couldn't put down. The basic premise is this woman who is engaged to a man with a 6 year old daughter. The man goes on a weekend getaway and the woman has charge of the little girl. They go walking on the beach in San Francisco (hense the fog) and the girl disappears. It does go on a bit more in some areas then I tend to prefer. But there were lots of interesting facts about recalling memory. And if you enjoy photography, you'll like her MANY references to that as well! The ending was not at all like I expected. Closure, closure, closure. Good read!
