If I could give halves, I would have given it a three and a half. After really thinking about it, I just couldn't push this review up to a four.
I found myself drawn in with the Perry chapters, and those that were done in the infection's point of view. Perry's chapters asked a question of me, "When does one stop being a victim and start becoming a villain?" Though I knew what was going on with Perry, I knew that it wasn't his fault, I really began to hate him near the end. I didn't feel as much anger towards him as Dew, but I could no longer think of him as the victim, the poor guy who got pulled into this. He was just a bad guy.
I hated Margaret with a passion. Her attitude was a major turn-off for me. She was either a doormat for whoever wanted to walk over her, or she was putting out fake wrath against people that she's so far beneath that she might as well be underground. She was just not likable at all.
I had my moments with Dew where I hated him and ...more
