I've been fascinated by groups such as the Melungeons for years, so was curious how Ms Parshall would treat the subject. She doesn't really get into the history and origins but portrays the prejudice against them.
As a mystery I enjoyed this one, in fact I have the next in the series on the coffee table for later.
