Didn't like quite as well as the first book, partly because it took me awhile to get into it, but it started to build up towards the middle and end, and I liked how some of the characters developed further in this book. The evil parts of the Inkworld made me think about the evil that exists in our world. But also made me realize that even though I don't understand everything that happens, I trust that God is in control and is good and that everything will be made right in the end - Redemption will come and good will triumph over evil. It also made me think about the role of the writer and how much control they have over the world they are creating and how they have to play by their own rules but sometimes they can find loopholes. And I liked how the characters had a part in how their own story developed. edit | delete review
