William Boyd is one of my favorite writers and his latest didn't disappoint. The man knows how to simply write a story. No gimmicks. No showing off. He just writes a story that will suck you in and take you into its layers. Restless is set in the '30s/40s and in current time and is about a mother/daughter, spies, WW2, love etc etc. Boyd can do no wrong in my eyes...

Brandi There was another comment about this book as to how the ending kind of fizzled out. I have to agree. I needed a bit more there in the end. This was the first William Boyd I have read.

Joshua I actually agree, the ending wasn't as good as the first 3/4 of the book. I still really liked it and if you liked this, check out other Boyd stuff.
