This picture book is beautifully illustrated from cover to cover with detailed images.

It's about how a Gruffalo's child is curious to find out about the mouse that his dad talk's about and goes out on a little adventure. It rhymes throughout and reminded me of another children's story very similarly done, with repetitive lines that children after two pages can start to follow along with their teacher (if being read to them) or it makes it easier for them to read it faster because it is repetitive.

It's a nice way of showing that you can be brave and explore the world. The rhymes were most enjoyable and brought a smile to my face.

This can be read to children yr 2 to yr 6, as I think the picture of the Gruffalo may be a little disturbing for younger children. But a good book all the same.
