This installment (hopefully not the last? please?) works as both ultraviolent slapstick and a snarky piss-take on comix history. The centerpiece is a hilarious sequence of hippie-mushbrained superhero "alternate histories" illuminated (er, I mean caused) by Forbush-vision. And let's not forget both the verbal and visual speculations that Captain America was gay. Which is a perfect counterpart to the Euro sign now curving gloriously round Elsa Bloodstone's breasts.
Smart, stoopid, and hilarious: how often do we get that combo?
