it was amazing
bookshelves: my-books, 2009-reads, malazan-reading-order, 2013-reads
Read from January 05 to 13, 2013 , read count: 1

I read the book in 2009 for the first time.
On 2nd of January I started my 2013 reading adventure:
To read all 10 Malazan of The Fallen Books by Steven Erikson and the five by books Ian C. Esslemont.

And the means I reread Gardens of The Moon!

The re-read has been a great experience because I understood a lot things better and discovered new connections.

This is the first volume of the MALAZAN BOOK OF THE FALLEN series by Steven Erikson. Ninth book will be released in August 2009 !!!

There are so many reviews available and therefore I decided just to write down my impressions.

First of all: THIS IS A GREAT BOOK!!

- It is epic fantasy
- there is magic
- Mighty weapons
- there are thieves, assassins and other arcane beings
- A lot of twists and turns
- It is complex
- No black and white characters
- It has a dark touch

Anyway I think a lot of people will be confused after reading the first 100 pages.
Don't worry and continue. You will get a stunning read.

message 1: by Hast (new) - added it

Hast I've read the first 100 pages and then stopped. It wasn't enough to make a clear image of the book. The main reason I stopped was the fact that only Gardens of the Moon has been translated to romanian. Maybe I will try again in a couple of years just like you.
