The premise of this book was strange but oddly attractive. I found myself looking forward to reading it and was extremely engaged until Part 3 (which is the final 100 or so pages of the book). Wow. Coupland had built up this fictional reality that is so much like all of us, the readers, that I think everyone would/could relate and like the story. The aimless wandering, the waiting to "feel like an adult", etc. But then - boom! there has to be this 'twist' to the end that was... ugh. It was just bad. I mean, I kind of get what Coupland was going for with everyone responsible for their own redemption, blah blah blah, but come on. It was just a really lame ending and I walked away feeling really let down and irritated.

Maybe that was his point? To irritate us (readers) all into action? Maybe. Either way, the ending sucked.
