Bronx Masquerade
by Nikki Grimes
by Nikki Grimes
Summary: This is an amazing book showcasing how one students poem can incite others to action and writing. We start with one poem by Wesely and from there the book builds on each student's reaction to a poem and then one of their own.
Main Characters:
Students in an English classroom.
Other Interesting Information:
I really liked this book because it shows how well students build off of each other's thoughts and writing and how they realize their affect on each other. I also enjoyed the journal entries the students had after their poems, and after a classmates poems. This is a great book to get students started in poetry.
