This book tells the story of a young girl who gets angry, "really, really angry" after her sister takes her toy gorilla that she was playing with. The story then describes what Sophie does when she gets angry--she she kicks, she screams, she is a "red volcano ready to explode." But then the story describes Sophie running, and crying, and climbing up a tree, and she realizes that she feels better now. This book has a simple plot, but shows young readers that when you get mad, remember to cool of and put things into perspective. The illustrations in this book are bright, and vivid, and definitely add to the book. Overall, a great story for K-1.
