You know, I had high expectations for this. And sadly, it didn't quite meet them. It was still great, don't get me wrong. Just not *quite* as great as I'd built it up to be in my mind...

I feel pretty much the same on a second reading. I almost feel like it would have been a stronger story without the epilogue. So yeah. It was really good. But not quite as brilliant as I would have liked.

Gina Denny I think this one suffered from overinflated expectations all around. It tied things up nicely, but it was definitely not the "Deathly Hallows" spectacle that I had built up in my head.

Kirsti (Melbourne on my mind) Yeah, I feel kind of the same. It'll be interesting to see how I feel about it this time around, seeing as the first time I read it, I raced through it in about four hours!
