A Billion Wicked Thoughts, by Sai Gaddama and Ogi Ogas is interesting simply because it addresses taboo topics within the realm of sex. It is one of the first studies completed on human sexual desire since Kinsey, so I had to read it. The researchers teamed up with porn sites and internet search engines to analyze the most popular terms found in online erotica, porn, and search histories based upon the sociological descriptors of the searcher. The book didn't reveal anything terribly earth shattering- i.e. most sexually open-minded people won't learn much, but it was still exciting to see these conversations take place in popular book form. In between the long lists of porn sites, (I will never be at a loss for where to look should I desire to do so), there were some pretty fantastic romance novel excerpts. And a good bit about vampires and werewolves. And the words "giant cock" and "tight ass" were used so much that I felt a little bit dirty reading this book on the metro. Because no one can help reading over the shoulder of others on a packed rush-hour train. Especially when penises are involved.
