ETA: My feelings on the cover.

Seriously though - stiff posing, random shirtlessness, and I'm pretty sure the wind is blowing her hair one direction (back, away from the viewer) and her dress another (to the right)... and is she trying to throw herself into the ocean?Patch why are you preventing this? stop getting in the way!

I'm still flabbergasted there's going to be a fourth book. Do you think the cover will outshit the cover of Silence? I'm not sure it's possible, but it could happen.

Paige: Oh, I sincerely hope so. These covers have nowhere to go but down, so it ought to be lolzy.
Eh. I'm actually surprised ppl are still reading it, but its fanbase is fickle and disloyal: eventually it'll disappear into nothingness when they move on to the next big thing. That's probably why BF is flogging that horse. At the same time Book #4 seems to be the curse for most shitty paranormal romance YA, so we'll see how the fans react to it.
I don't know which is more terrible, the mental image of the spoiler or the book...Wait, yes I do. (Obviously the book.)
Maybe this'll be the straw that breaks the fanbase's back. That would be nice. Or maybe it'll just be the end, and Fitzpatz can fade back into obscurity where she belongs.

Anila wrote: "Maybe this'll be the straw that breaks the fanbase's back. That would be nice. They just pick up anything within a 20-mile radius that has the words BECCA FITZPATRICK on it and devour.
Anila wrote: "Maybe this'll be the straw that breaks the fanbase's back. That would be nice. what a horrible way for the world to end.
Mello: Thank you; you managed to ruin my appetite and I haven't even eaten anything today.
But I want to draw silly pictures of Fitzpatrick and her characters! It's okay, I won't do it any time soon, I've got a ton of other readings to do.
I WILL SOMETIME THOUGH!
I think this series needs a big fat take-down. As long as this shit's being published & people are declaring it unironically to be romantic and sexy, there needs to be people tearing it apart and saying why this sexist guff is so damaging.
Though this tends to usually be a case of preaching to the choir...I doubt the fanbase ever takes a look at these take-downs and goes 'ah I see the light.' Usually they just go on the defensive. Who knows though, if you can save one person through the power of snark, might as well go for it.
Bhahahahaha love this because A. You used FMA, FMA: brotherhood, and FMA movie quotes and B. They are all true.
Weeeeell, technically they're not quotes, but yes. If I had screencaps from the Sacred Star of Milos, it would be the complete FMA animated canon.
Anila wrote: "Weeeeell, technically they're not quotes, but yes. I can't wait for that movie to come out. I just finished an FMA marathon, and the ending of the last episode never fails to get me every time. *sigh* I love that show.
Indeed. And and and it's 3 Oct. 11 tomorrow! *wild fangirl flailing*
I am kinda sorta SUPER DUPER EXCITED because this will only happen once in our lifetimes and it is so cool.
Looking forward to the movie, too. It has gotten awards, so I have high expectations.

*sagely nods my head*
Wait! What's tomorrow!?!?! Ahhh tell me!!! I feel like I probably know, but I just want to make sure so I'm not missing out on any kind of awesomeness!
I do, as well. It apparently takes place between....oh what was it...episodes 20 and 21 of FMA. *fangirl squeal*
3 Oct 11! From Ed's pocketwatch! It's hard to find a picture of, though, because the first anime changed it to 3 Oct 10 and so all the liscenced merch has the wrong date. *shakes head*

Eps 20 and 21 of FMA or of FMA: Brotherhood?
Palice wrote: "AAAAAHHH, IT IS 3. OCT. 11 TOMORROW! WHY DID I NOT REALIZE THIS BEFORE?"
I don't know, but now it's been brought to your attention. My work here is done.

Oh duhhh! *slaps my forehead* I can't believe I forgot that! That is a special day! AHHHH! IZ SO EXCITED FOR TOMORROW NOWS! *squeals*
Uhmm..... I do believe it's FMA, but I will have to double-check.
I feel like I must do something. Anything. *thinks hard*
So I ran out to my younger sister and told her, and of course... she needed explaining, so I explained. What does she suggest for me to do tomorrow?
"Uh... burn our house?"
Moron.
I'm watching all the episodes! Again!
Palice wrote: "I feel like I must do something. Anything. *thinks hard*

Hahahahahah oh, dear, well you could do that, I guess, but only after your mom dies, you try to bring her back to life, you fail, you put your sister's soul into a suit of armor and in the process lose an arm and a leg, search for the philosopher's stone, almost die about a million times, come back to Rizemboul for a little bit, then burn down your house.
Sounds like a great plan!
I just finished watching all of the FMA episodes, though! What do I do!?!
I'm going to write a huge picture and video-heavy blog post.Rewatching all the episodes would take you... approximately 32 hours, assuming you watched just Brotherhood. And since I'm fairly sure you have class... not the best plan...
I like the burning the house idea, though! :D
You'd better give me a link to that, Anila! I've just started Brotherhood, but the only go to having episode four in english; the rest are in Japanese. Sigh.
animeultima.tv has all of them in English. And I will. It's going to be good. (Or at least, I hope so.)
I would love to burn something and just... watch the flames, but uh... I don't think that'd be a good idea around my house. Hmm... I could draw pictures. And watch fanmade videos. And my favorite episodes. That won't take me all day...

While we're on that topic, what are your guys' favorite episodes?
Cait wrote: "While we're on that topic, what are your guys' favorite episodes?"Of Brotherhood?
10
27 (even though it was the recap, I loved what it did for Hohenheim's character development)
Pretty much everything from The Promised Day, but especially 60 and onwards.
Anything with a significant Royai moment.
And all the OVAs.
Mine are any of the ones with Roy and Riza. I like Olivier Armstrong's episodes. And I really like the ones leading up to the Promised Day. Alphonse vs Kimblee was SO AWESOME! And Lan Fan beating up Gluttony -- oh and I especially like the one when they're in the belly, and Scar's episode is really good too, OOHH -- and IZUMI CURTIS EPISODES! Although the final battle's were really good, and anytime Greeling pops in for a fight...
You know what? All of them.

I loved all of those, too, and pretty much any of the ones with Armstrong in it; I love that guy. I really liked 54, as well. What about your favorite FMA ones? Mine were 47 (just because of the whole mother drama in that. It was touching) 44, 22 (because Huges died) and 13, because Mustang acts like an idiot, and he's hilarious when he's an idiot.
Anila wrote: "I forgot Olivier! The one where [spoilers removed]"I think they're separate episodes... (view spoiler)
I haven't seen all of FMA, but I've seen the one where Mustang goes crazy over Black Hayate. I just want to pluck him out of that episode and crush him with a hug.
Palice wrote: "Mine are any of the ones with Roy and Riza. I like Olivier Armstrong's episodes. And I really like the ones leading up to the Promised Day. Alphonse vs Kimblee was SO AWESOME! And Lan Fan beating..."
Ahhhhh Armstong and his pink glitter. He will forever be one of my favorite characters. Izumi is bad. Ass.
Cait: Uuum that's hard because I watched FMA... holy shit, at least two and a half years ago.But I'd have to say the gag episodes from each season (Fullmetal Vs. Flame and Warehouse 13), the finale of season 1, the second episode (I've always loved the Youswell plotline) and the 'Other Elric Brothers' double episode, even if it didn't make sense.
Nothing from the second season except the gag ep. I lost it when they connected Amestris and alchemy to our world. Flipped the fuck out. That's one of my least favorite plot devices EVER since it showed up in the Sword of Shannara.
Pal: You're probably right.
Cait wrote: "Palice wrote: "Mine are any of the ones with Roy and Riza. I like Olivier Armstrong's episodes. And I really like the ones leading up to the Promised Day. Alphonse vs Kimblee was SO AWESOME! And ..."
AAARGHH! I just went looking for a video about Armstrong that Anila found, but turns out they've taken it off Youtube!
:-(
Mhmmm. They're just all fresh in my head because I re-watched them all, and yeah, I didn't really like those episodes either. It was too confusing and It just didn't really gel with me at all. Sigh. I honestly like Al's voice better in FMA than FMA: Brotherhood. He kind of sounds like....a girl.
