I found THE WELCOMING DOOR a very realistic view of how life during the time Jesus was living & completing his ministry. It starts out as Jesus starts repairs on a door while working as a carpenter, but as he does this he touches the life of everyone who comes in contact with him, especially a child who he decides to apprentice. This is a fun & different way of learning about the life & times of Jesus & it is also a very interesting & realistic read. I totally enjoyed this book & I would recommend it for all ages. Many of the people are well known to me in this book since I have also read my Bible, so I recognized a lot of the characters in this book. Those of you who aren't in to religion won't find this book to be "preachy" & as a novel you will find it very readable. You'll find that people have many of the same interests & questions then as they do in our modern times. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I'll be looking forward to reading more books by Kenny Kemp! ;)
