A good start to the series and has some interesting characters. I love Marshall Drummond and how he interacts with Rory. His old-fashioned attitudes drive her nuts and makes for some good chuckles. There are plenty of red herrings and interesting backgrounds as this novice investigator works on her first case.Having her start off as a police sketch artist is unusual and unique, but I'm not certain how that will play into the future books. I didn't guess who the villain was until the end so the author must have been doing her job when she kept me off-balance with his identity. The pace isn't like a speeding freight train and it doesn't plod either, and the story is well written. I look forward to the next release.
