I wish I could three and a half this book which is solid, well-written and had me reliving all my years of teenage angst.
The book balances almost perfectly, the heroine's life between boy interests, her friends, her family and school. Rose felt like a real and likable person with a regular life, and while I was happy for where she was headed when the book ended, I also wished we had more time together.
Why not four stars?
The first 3/4 of the book build up a lot of suspense and tension, but I felt this was spent too soon in the last quarter. I don't have to spoil something that won't come up for a long time so I won't be more specific for now.
